California Consumer Privacy Notice
This California Consumer Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets forth the privacy practices of Econolite Group, Inc. (“Econolite”, “we,” or “us”) as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). This Policy supplements Econolite’s Privacy Policy posted on Econolite’s website (“Online Privacy Policy”) and applies solely to California consumers (“you,” or “your”). The Policy is intended to inform you of the categories of Personal Information (as defined by the CCPA) that we collect, why we collect such information, and with whom the information is shared. This Policy does not apply to Econolite employees and contractors, who may obtain a separate privacy policy that is applicable to them by contracting our Human Resources department at HR@Econolite.com.
I. NOTICE OF COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may collect the following categories of Personal Information about you:
- “Identifiers,” such as a real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier (such as a device identifier; cookies, beacons, pixel tags, mobile ad identifiers and similar technology; customer number, unique pseudonym, or user alias; and other forms of persistent or probabilistic identifiers), online identifier, internet protocol address, email address, account name, and other similar identifiers.
- “Customer Records Information,” such as a name, signature, Social Security number, address, telephone number, passport number, driver’s license or state identification card number, insurance policy number, education, employment, employment history, bank account number, credit card number, debit card number, or any other financial information, medical information, or health insurance information.
- “Protected Classifications,” which are protected classification characteristics under California or Federal Law, such an age (40 years or older), race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, religion or creed, marital status, medical condition, physical or mental disability, sex (including gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy or childbirth and related medical conditions), sexual orientation, veteran or military status, genetic information (including familial genetic information), and requests for parental, pregnancy, disability or sick leave.
- “Commercial Information,” such as records of personal property, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies.
- “Biometric Information,” such as genetic, physiological, behavioral, and biological characteristics, or activity patterns used to extract a template or other identifier or identifying information, such as, fingerprints, faceprints, and voiceprints, iris or retina scans, keystroke, gait, or other physical patterns, and sleep, health, or exercise data.
- “Internet Activity” and other electronic network activity information, including, but not limited to, browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interaction with websites, applications or advertisements.
- “Geolocation Data,” such as device location and tracking building entry.
- “Sensory Data,” such as audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information, such as voicemail greetings and messages.
- “Professional or Employment-Related Information,” such as job related data, maintained as part of the employment relationship that could be contained in a job application or resume; an employment contract; a contractor agreement; a performance review; a disciplinary record; photos; information from employee expenses; browsing and search history; payroll and benefits related data; internal and external contact information; or information captured from video, audio, systems, or other forms of monitoring or surveillance.
- “Non-public Education Information” (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)), such as education records directly related to a student maintained by an educational institution or party acting on its behalf, such as grades or transcripts.
- “Inferences” drawn from other Personal Information, such as a profile reflecting a person’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes
Please note that Personal Information as defined in the CCPA does not include publicly available information from government records, deidentified or aggregated consumer information, or Personal Information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), California Financial Information Privacy Act (FIPA), or Healthy Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

- Access: You may have the right to request, twice in a 12-month period, that we disclose to you the Personal Information we have collected, used, disclosed and sold about you during the past 12 months.
- Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete certain Personal Information we have collected from you.
- Opt-Out of Sale: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your Personal Information.

- Verifying Requests: To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your Personal Information or complying with your request If you request access to or deletion of your Personal Information, we may require you to provide additional information so that we can verify your request based on the information we maintain.
- Additional Information: If you choose to exercise any of your rights under the CCPA, you have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment by us. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may charge a reasonable fee to comply with your request. This Statement is available in alternative formats upon request. VI. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Types of Data and Collection Methods

Visitors to our website, as well as our facilities and events, have choices about the personal information they provide to us. When you are asked to provide information to us, you may choose the information to submit. In some instances, if requested information is not provided, we may be unable to respond to your inquiry, fulfill your request, or complete the commercial transaction.
- Registration and Transaction Information: If you request or submit information to us by sending an email via the “mail to:” function, filling out a “contact” form, or by contacting us in person or by phone, we may collect the following types of personal information: Name; email address; mailing address; telephone number; name of employer; job title; education information; characteristics protected by law; purchase history; products you have expressed an interest in; biometric information; voice recordings; photographs; security camera footage; and, any other information related to you and your business you provide to us. We also collect personal information when you register for product updates, notices and warranties; participate in public forums or other activities on our sites and applications; place orders for a product or service; and, sign up for product training. Your Choices
- Opt-In/Out: In some circumstances, such as email marketing, we offer you the ability to opt-in or opt-out of specific data collection, use, or sharing. You also may ask us at any time to change your preferences regarding how we use or disclose your information or let us know that you do not wish to receive any further communication from us.
- Access: If you would like to access your personal information that we maintain, or the personal information you have submitted is no longer accurate, current, or complete, and you wish to update it, please contact Econolite’s Marketing Department (contact information at the bottom of this page) If you need to correct your personal information, we reserve the right to use data obtained previously to verify your identity. Subject to any exceptions prescribed by law, and provided we can authenticate your identity, you will be given reasonable access to your personal information and will be entitled to amend it as appropriate
- Do Not Track: We do not respond to “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signals sent by web browsers. A uniform standard has not yet been adopted to determine how DNT signals should be interpreted and what actions should be taken by websites and third parties that receive such signals. However, you may use a variety of other means of controlling data collection and use, including cookie controls in your browser settings and the personalized advertising controls described in the Cookies section above.
- Retention: We retain personal information for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. - Security: Transmissions over the Internet are never 100 percent secure or error-free. However, we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. It is your responsibility to safeguard your passwords and User IDs, and to notify us using one of the contact methods listed in this Privacy Statement if you ever suspect that your password or User ID for one of our Services has been compromised. You are solely responsible for any unauthorized use of our Services conducted via your password and User ID.
- Sharing: Information collected by Econolite is stored on Econolite servers or servers hosted by third parties in the U.S. Third parties, however, do not have access for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval. From time to time, Econolite may share personal information with third parties who facilitate the delivery of our products and services, such as distributors and channel partners. Wherever your personal information is transferred, stored or processed by us, we will take reasonable steps to safeguard the privacy of your personal information. We do not sell any of your personal information we collect to third parties.

To accommodate new technologies, industry practices and stay compliant with applicable regulations, we may add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time and will alert you that changes have been made by indicating on this Policy page the date it was last updated.
