Econolite Systems, Inc. (ESI) was selected by the City of Arcadia (City) as the prime contractor for the Traffic Signal Fiber Optics Network Extension project. ESI provided the City with all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary to install a fiber optic cable network, including the fabric inner ducting, tracer wire, splicing, and connector panels to expand the City’s traffic signal network. ESI also installed fiber optic panel housings, power supply systems, and Ethernet switches.

As part of the project parameters, ESI installed and tested the underground and indoor fiber optic cable placement and related equipment, including trunkline cable, branch cable, jumper cable, pigtails, connectors, patch panels, splice trays, splice units, termination units, splice and termination units, and underground splice closures. All fiber optic cable installed was Single Mode Fiber Optic (SMFO) dielectric waterproof cable and certified ISO 9001 manufacturing per City project specifications.
